As for me personally, I was born in Rockville Center on Long Island, NY and moved to Boulder when I was 3. My father built a house in Berthoud and that’s where I was raised and graduated from high school. I graduated from CSU with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences with an emphasis in Child Psychology. Soon after graduation, I got married and moved to Littleton, CO where I had 2 little girls. In an effort to support my husband’s career, we relocated to Tulsa, OK and then to Salt Lake City, Utah before moving to Longmont where I’ve been for the past 10 years. My daughters graduated from Skyline and Mead High Schools and now attend college at CSU and Chadron State College.
My mentor and strongest advocate is my mother, Alice James who has been in real estate for 35 years. Over the years, I’ve assisted her on different aspects of her practice and finally decided in 2012 to get my own license. Since then, I’ve carved out a niche of my own in addition to continuing to support Alice with her real estate needs. We make a darn good team! I assist her with technological challenges and she guides me through contractual challenges, which put together, makes us a very effective team.

I’m a strong believer in supporting local businesses, so much so, that I’ve joined the Mead Chamber of Commerce and have since been elected as their President. Please take a look at the Newsletters Tab, and notice that I have a special section for local businesses to advertise their craft for free. This section has grown over the past two years and I’m excited by the positive feedback I receive from the advertisers and their clients. The Mead Chamber puts on an annual Summer Festival in June, where residents have a chance to check out the local businesses in the community. There’s an obstacle course for the kids and a beer garden for the grown-ups. A local band entertains the crowd and there are prize drawings and contests to enter. I highly recommend checking it out! We also support the local schools and have donated over $9,000 to Mead High School in the past year.
I’ve represented buyers and sellers all along the Front Range and my philosophy with each client is the same; to respect the client’s wishes and desires and to match that with a property that they will be happy to live in for many years to come. To me, real estate isn’t just about a transaction, it’s about being a strong advocate and negotiating what’s best for my client. A friend asked me recently, “if you could do any job, what would it be?” I pondered this for about 5 seconds before laughing and answering, “I’m already doing it!” I really do love my job. It is very rewarding to match a client with their dream home.
As with the Chamber of Commerce, I wasn’t happy just sitting in the audience watching sporting events (although I love that, too) I had to get involved. So, in my down time, I play ice hockey. I’m on a couple of Adult leagues out of Windsor and Greeley, and believe me, I bring the same amount of passion to hockey that I do to real estate.
